Let's Go O's

It's officially spring here, and that means it's time for baseball! We needed a break from mulching our gardens so we headed off to the Oriole's game on Sunday. Brian and I probably only got to see one or two innings of the game. Most of the time we were at the Kid's Zone, in line for the potties, or in line for food. But we did see two back-to-back O's homeruns!

Yes, we have branched out and become Orioles and Nationals fans, but our kids know that the Cardinals are our #1 team! So don't worry, all you St. Louis friends.

Tyler was more interested in his lemonade than the mascot.

We need another picture of Tyler eating junk food:

This is how Claire poses for pictures now -- she strikes a pose literally. I gave it a try too.

Tyler is 3!

Our little buddy has been 3 years old for almost a month now. I meant to get these photos posted a while ago, but who am I kidding? I only just got down all of the party decorations!

Tyler wanted a Cars party so badly he could have peed his pants. Which he did, during his party. I think it was a good thing...he was having so much fun he just couldn't bother with a potty break, right? Anyway, one of the highlights of the party (besides the wet pants) was the homemade race ramp that Brian made out of garage scraps an hour before the party:

Tyler was impressed!

We decked out the dining room with Cars decorations.

Oh yes, party hats and blowers included.

There was a toy Mater and Lightning McQueen on the cake. Tyler snatched them up as fast as he could!

We had our first experience with a pull-string piƱata. Unfortunately (?) it opened on the second pull!

There were tattoos and a bean bag toss as well, but really the kids just wanted to chase and hide from each other. We rallied them together for a Cars scavenger hunt which turned out to be good fun too.

Just this morning Tyler told me that he wanted to do his Cars party again. It was a lot of fun, but I for one am glad that birthdays come just once a year.  : )
